We're leaving for a trip to Rochester sometime tomorrow morning. We'll be back Monday night... I'm looking forward to spending a little bit of time with lorisheep and her guy. Oh yeah, and seeing my hometown is always good too.

nightskyre mentioned apple-picking the other day, and thinking about Rochester made me think of Zarpentine Farms. It was a family "tradition" to go and get cider and apples almost every Saturday morning. My parents developed quite a friendship with the owners (same family has owned the farm & store for 3 generations, maybe more). They have the tastiest baked goods, too (mm... apple fritters). If we get into Rochester early enough, I think I'll make a little detour to get there. Maybe even see their maze - they never had that when I was growing up, which is too bad. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it.
