Like Mozart? Like Latin-American music?

Now you can have both!

Las Rubias del Norte (translated: "Blonds of the North") have redone the Confutatis from Mozart's Requiem, making it a laid-back female duet with Latino instrumentals.

I heard it on NPR today, and while it was very pretty, I couldn't help but think that it's a bit off-base. Mozart framed this text perfectly, and what they've done to it is just... wrong, somehow.

But if you're interested in that sort of thing, check out their website.

Here are the lyrics, translated into English, for anyone who's not as familiar with the Confutatis:
When the accused are confounded,
and doomed to flames of woe,
call me among the blessed.
