(This is a follow up to my previous entry.)
I got an email from Graduate Admissions today that didn't even get marked as possible spam by my (admittedly lenient) filter. What did they do differently?
- Email comes (or appears to come) from an @wpi.edu address (one you can even respond to)
- Images are supplemental and don't contain vital information, ie. all important information is in HTML/text.
That's all there is! They still use link redirects, but they do include the text of the "straight" URL as well, if you want to cut and paste (in this case, it's grad.wpi.edu). Good job, Grad Admissions! You are significantly less dumb than Marketing.
