Teeth are fixed!

Paglia Family Dental
Marlborough MA

Highly recommended.

And hey, I got to see a female dentist for the first time in my life.

(They did skip a couple of things, like X-rays, because I'm pregnant. But it also meant they tried to be extra gentle, since anesthesia is not an option at this point, and the preggo hormones make your gums tender and swollen.)

I've had four dentists. The two good ones were women. I'm going to have a tough time deciding between the two of them when I move to Camelot and become closer to the one I had before, who is now head of the Gentle Dental on Shrewsbury Street, but who I haven't seen in over a year.

I like male dentists - if someone is going to be that close to my face, they better be good looking. Same goes for optometrists. I like my current optometrist because of his blue eyes. I'd bet a lot of women are like me... maybe more so with middle age.

However, when it comes to GYN and PCP's, I always pick a female.

It just felt weird to have a female dentist - the practice I went to throughout childhood had a grandfatherly guy as the dentist; he eventually transferred the practice to a much younger guy.

Honestly, for dentists, I don't care, as long as they don't cause me lots of pain. Pretty much the same for optometrists - I just want to get down to business and get out. The person fitting my glasses should be friendly and nice to talk to, but the doctor? Eh. Just check my eyes and give me my new prescription.

Yeah on fixed teeth! No more weird feelings/hurting your lips when you're eating! ::Muppet excitement::
