(no subject)

How about that weather, eh? Apparently Wilma has moved out to the Atlantic and up towards New England, causing a vicious Nor'easter. We're getting a good bit of rain, and lots of wind. Walking from the car into work, my sneakers turned into mobile puddles, and I was pretty damp from the knees down. I definitely should have worn boots today.

My old friend Tim Lynes visited this weekend, and I think we had a pretty good time. I've only seen him 2-3 times in the past 6 years, so it was good to catch up a little bit. He's finally one year away from finishing his CS degree; nightskyre and I could sympathize, especially with the feeling that the schooling will never be done. Tim is going to be nearly 25 by the time he finishes, since he's in a 6-year program (a 4-year degree plus 2 years of co-op). We're hoping he can come up once more before his co-op in NYC finishes in late December.

I'm already sick of the cold nasty weather, and it's not even winter yet. We haven't even seen any snow yet in central Mass (maybe we can hold out until November? It would be the first time in 3-4 years we haven't gotten snow in October). Can we fast-forward to February or March please? I'm not ready to deal with 6 months of this.
