- to John Delorey, trying to set up a meeting to discuss Suff.
- to registrar@wpi and finaid@wpi that basically said, "I'm not going to be a full-time student this fall; I'm only taking two classes. What do I do?"
- to my advisor, asking my question about grad class vs. 4000-level, and asked if I could stop by and say hi sometime.
I realized that tuition is technically due on THURSDAY, so I'd better figure out where my tuition money is coming from. I need to examine the documents for my... bonds.. I think... and figure out how I actually get the money I need. (The documents are confusing.)
Several interesting things at church today. In sunday school, the topic of environmentalism came up. The general idea is that we are stewards of this earth, but we shouldn't worship nature. We should use our resources responsibly, but realize that the earth is temporary ("disposable" as the pastor puts it, but I don't like that connotation.) The sermon was from Revelation: Jesus's triumphal entry (or re-entry, depending on how you look at it) as the conquering king. (Revelation 19, if you're curious.)
I also went to a workshop on discipleship after church (geared for the women of the church). I've wanted to find an older woman to disciple me for years - but I don't really feel comfortable just approaching one and asking her "would you disciple/teach me?" Unfortunately, now that I finally have an opportunity, it may be hard for me to make time in my schedule to allow it. Maybe I'll still be able to; or maybe I'll have to do a little less work with the youth group. Not sure where to go with this; I should be praying about it.
Found out that the problem with my monitor going to sleep and not waking up is actually the computer, not the monitor (I suspected as much.) Just going to have to figure out what's doing that, then.
