My back is finally feeling better, after getting steadily worse all of yesterday and staying pretty bad today. I got a chance to talk to A. quite a bit today, both on the phone and online (yay!) I received a package from him this morning, and while I wonder if he should be spending so much money on me, it was really great. Every time I see a FedEx truck here, I think of him. They have some great FedEx commercials here, too.
Tomorrow, I need to go grocery shopping. I'm going to go to the local street market to get vegetables, and there's a supermarket right there so I can get whatever else I need. My money is going a bit faster than I had planned on, but I think I'll still be able to manage for the next 5 weeks.
I need to remember to write to my mom and ask some more details, and I'll also need to make sure I do something for fun tomorrow - perhaps I'll visit a cathedral and take the tour for 5 quid. Or maybe I'll go to the rebuilt Globe theater (excuse me, theatre). If the weather's really nice, maybe I'll go back to the Tower of London; but I think I'll save that for next weekend, over our Easter break. I still wish I had some friends from home here; I'll never be close with any of the other IQP students. I keep catching myself when I feel depressed, and reminding myself it's my own choices. If I don't like them, I need to be making different choices.
