On Saturday, I went to see the HMS Belfast (a battleship permanently moored in the Thames River), because I knew no one would want to come see it with me. I also climbed the Monument (to the Great Fire). It's a very steep spiral staircase (311 steps!), but once you get to the top, the view is pretty good. I also felt a sense of accomplishment, that I was able to get this far up just by climbing. Coming back down, it's a little vertiginous, and hard to pass people on the narrow staircase, but I definitely think it was worth it. Pictures will follow later. I also went to this huge toy store, Hamely's, and wandered around quite a while before buying a few things. This again proves to me that I can have a good time in London by myself, as long as I get off my lazy butt (which I didn't do on Friday, in case you're wondering.)
